How to read a rule properly

Two firms can both advertise “5% daily drawdown” and not measure the same thing. That detail is what fails challenges.

Daily drawdown
Balance vs. equity isn't the same thing
Measured on equity, your open losing positions count straight away. On balance, only closed positions count. The first rule is much stricter.
Max drawdown
Static or trailing
A static DD is measured from your starting balance. A trailing DD follows your high-water mark: the more you make, the higher the threshold — and a losing streak after a win knocks you out faster.
Minimum days
A floor, not a goal
A four-day minimum doesn't stop you finishing in four days. But hitting the target in one session and stopping fails the challenge on that rule alone.
Profit split
The percentage is only part of it
Also look at payout frequency, how long until the first one, and whether the challenge fee is refunded with the first payout.

Frequently asked questions

Where does this information come from, and when was it checked?+
From each prop firm's official pages (rules, help center) and public reviews, cross-checked against each other. Conditions change often: always check the current version on the firm's website before buying a challenge.
Why are some well-known firms missing?+
The directory is deliberately short: a firm is only added once its rules have been verified on its official sources. More will be added over time. You can suggest one at contact@trademetrics.fr.
Do you get a commission from the listed firms?+
No. No affiliate links, no paid partnerships. The display order depends only on the sort you choose.
Which rule fails the most challenges?+
The max daily loss. You can breach it in one bad session, often without seeing it coming, while the max loss gives you more time. It's exactly the limit the TradeMetrics Guardian watches in real time.
Does the tracker update if a firm changes its rules?+
Not automatically: you enter your challenge rules when you set it up. If your prop firm changes its conditions, update them in your challenge settings.
